Position: Emergency Medicine APP Location: Masontown, PA

Position Details:

• PA license Required; DEA; BLS, ACLS, ATLS Patient Assessment:
• Perform thorough history-taking and physical examinations for patients of all ages presenting to the ED.
• Triage patients based on acuity and prioritized care accordingly.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work, X-rays, CT scans, and EKGs.
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of conditions, from minor illnesses and injuries to life-threatening emergencies.
• Perform common emergency procedures, such as:
• Suturing lacerations
• Splinting fractures and dislocations
• Incision and drainage of abscesses
• Placement of IV lines and central lines (depending on credentialing)
• Lumbar punctures, joint aspirations, and foreign body removal
• Assist with advanced procedures like intubation, chest tube placement, and resuscitation under physician supervision.
• Manage patients presenting with conditions like chest pain, respiratory distress, abdominal pain, trauma, and sepsis.
• Stabilize critically ill patients until they can be admitted to the hospital or transferred to a higher level of care.
