What is an interesting/fun fact we would be surprised to learn about you?

An interesting/fun fact about me is that I’m one of the few people you’ll meet who was born and raised in Florida!

***Bonus fact – I am colorblind! Without fail, every time I’ve ever told anyone that, I immediately get the response, “Really? What color is my shirt?”

What is your best work memory?

My best work memory comes from a business trip I took out to California. I traveled with my director of operations to give a presentation at a conference. I had spoken in front of large groups before – maybe 50-100 people. Here, I found myself on stage in front of about 10,000 people! I was nervous walking out on stage but as soon as I started speaking into the mic, adrenaline took over and nervousness converted to excitement. It was so fun and one of the best experiences of my life.

The story that instantly jumps out is when I called a doctor about a job in New Mexico. He was living in Texas and explained to me that he had not been working for the last year and a half after dealing with a difficult medical condition. He was fully recovered and looking to get back to work. I was able to find him an ongoing assignment that met all of the criteria he was looking for and the facility loved him. The gratitude he exuded was something that could be felt over the phone. It was pretty cool!

What makes working at MPLT Healthcare different from any company you’ve ever worked for?

It’s all about the people! From the bottom to the top, MPLT is comprised of the greatest group of individuals I’ve ever been fortunate enough to work with. They say if you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room. Unfortunately, I’ve been in a lot of wrong rooms in my career! MPLT isn’t one of them.

While all of the core values are relatable in some way, “Never Give Up” is the one that stands out the most. There are always challenges and always things that don’t go your way, both personally and professionally. You can either sit in the corner and cry about it and you’ll remain in that corner, or you can pick yourself up, push forward and fight until the next thing punches you in the mouth and knocks you down. Then you just rinse and repeat!
