Position: Cardiology NP Location: Glenrose, WA

Position Details:

  • WA license Required; DEA; BLS, ACLS
  • Schedule is 7 days inpatient, one week a month. Scheduled week is variable
  • Shifts are Tuesday 7:00am – Tuesday 7:00am
  • Night call will be phone consults only, provider will not be called back in
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic heart failure, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, and other cardiovascular conditions.
  • Perform detailed cardiovascular assessments, including histories, physical exams, and review of diagnostic tests (e.g., echocardiograms, EKGs, and lab results).
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the cardiology team.
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure care for patients undergoing cardiac interventions (e.g., angioplasty, pacemaker placement).
  • Heart Failure Management
  • Monitor and adjust treatment regimens for heart failure patients, including medication management (e.g., diuretics, ACE inhibitors, beta-blockers).
  • Coordinate and oversee heart failure clinics, focusing on symptom management, fluid status, and patient education. Utilize advanced heart failure therapies as appropriate, such as cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) or implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs).
  • Manage patients with ventricular assist devices (VADs) or those on the transplant list, if applicable.
  • Procedural Support and Rounding
  • Assist in procedures such as stress testing, echocardiograms, or catheterizations as needed.
  • Perform hospital rounds in the CICU and cardiology floors, ensuring continuity of care for critically ill patients.
