Surgery NP/PA – Locums – Badger, WA

Position: Surgery NP/PA Location: Badger, WA MPLT Healthcare is looking for physicians who Understand the Urgency, Never Give Up, and Have the Courage to Excel in the forever changing medical industry! We have numerous opportunities for an experienced Surgery NP/PA with highly competitive pay rates in Badger, WA. Position Details:

• Candidates with Vascular surgery background will only be accepted
• Provider will be the surgical first assist. Vascular experience required. Vein harvesting NOT required
• Hospital: 80% of time; 8 patients per day, 8 admissions daily
• Clinic: 20% of time; 12 patients per day
• Surgery: First assist in up to 5 surgeries per day3 surgeons, 5 APP, 2 RNs, 5 MAs, 1 ARNP
• Must have an Active WA or Compact, BLS,, ACLS
• Act as a first assist in vascular surgeries, helping with procedures such as endovascular and open surgeries, arterial and venous interventions, and bypass surgeries.
• Prepare patients for surgery, assist with patient positioning, and ensure all necessary surgical equipment is available and functioning.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments, including physical exams, reviewing medical histories, and explaining procedures to patients.
• Manage post-operative care, including wound care, follow-up assessments, and educating patients and families on recovery and care plans.
• Perform daily rounds on vascular surgery patients, monitor vitals, evaluate recovery, and adjust care plans as needed.
• Handle inpatient consultations and manage post-operative and follow-up care in the outpatient clinic.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments, such as vascular ultrasounds or angiograms, and interpret results in collaboration with the surgical team.
• Perform therapeutic procedures as needed, including suturing, wound debridement, and minor surgical tasks within the PA’s scope of practice.
